Built from real projects, not theory.

Volstrukt has spent more than a decade working with cold-formed steel framing, panelized construction, ADUs, compact residential structures, custom homes, and small residential projects. That experience shaped a practical understanding of what builders, owners, and project teams actually need.

The lesson was clear: better construction isn't just about choosing a better material. It's about creating a better system. Steel matters. But coordination matters just as much.

Volstrukt converts designs into digitally resolved steel framing systems, manufactures components from production files, labels and bundles them for delivery, and supports a clearer assembly process on site.

"The real opportunity isn't just replacing wood with steel. It's replacing jobsite ambiguity with a more coordinated way to build."
Traditional approach
Volstrukt approach
Drawings interpreted in the field Framing resolved digitally upfront
Materials sourced separately Steel manufactured from files
Crews cut and adjust on site Panels labeled and ready
Coordination happens late Documentation supports assembly
Rework and waste are common Clarity before construction
Repeatability is difficult Stock models can be reused

Residential construction needs a better operating system.

Most homes are still built through a process that depends heavily on field labor, interpretation, sequencing, and improvisation. That can work — but it's hard to scale, hard to repeat, and hard to make predictable. Four beliefs shape how Volstrukt operates.

Belief 01 /

Solve complexity early.

The best time to solve framing problems is before fabrication — not during construction. The jobsite is the most expensive place to figure things out.

Belief 02 /

Buildability matters.

A good design isn't enough on its own. It has to be translated into something that can be built clearly and efficiently — or it stays on paper.

Belief 03 /

Materials need systems.

Steel framing becomes more valuable when paired with digital modeling, engineering, documentation, delivery planning, and assembly support.

Belief 04 /

Repeatability creates housing.

Stock models and digitally resolved systems let builders and small developers deliver more homes with less uncertainty — at the scale housing demand requires.

A decade of CFS framing experience.

Volstrukt has worked across ADUs, small homes, custom homes, and repeatable building systems. That breadth has shaped the company's approach to design, manufacturing, delivery, and assembly.

  • Early work

    Steel framing & panelized construction.

Volstrukt begins working with cold-formed steel framing systems and panelized construction methods.

  • Building experience

    Compact residential and small structures.

Deep experience in compact, efficient residential projects where precision and coordination matter most.

  • Expanding scope

    Custom residential framing.

Volstrukt expands its work converting custom home designs into complete steel framing systems.

  • Process refinement

    Digital design-to-fabrication workflow.

The process becomes centered around digital modeling, production files, labeled components, and assembly documentation. The DFMA Method takes shape.

  • Now

    Stock models & repeatable systems.

Volstrukt develops stock models and kit levels to make ADUs, small homes, and repeatable housing easier to price, manufacture, and assemble.

What builders and developers say.

Verified 5-star Google reviews from the people who've actually built with Volstrukt — developers, trade partners, and homeowners.

Worked with Volstrukt a few times now — first for an ADU, then a multi-family project. The cost for framing and plans was very cost effective, the frame is super easy to assemble, and the speed vs. stick framing made it a no-brainer. Their design team was awesome.

Been working with Volstrukt on many projects and they've made it a breeze to modify what's needed for us to provide all the HVAC ductwork. Highly recommend them on any future tiny home to custom home.

Five kinds of project teams.

Volstrukt works with a mix of owners, builders, and design professionals. Each comes to the work with different priorities — and the relationship looks different for each.

Homeowners.

Owners building an ADU, small home, or custom residence. The kit ships to your builder. The structure is yours to live in.

Builders.

General contractors and framing crews who want less ambiguity, labeled components, and a more organized assembly process.

Developers.

Small and infill developers building multi-unit projects who need repeatability, predictability, and clarity across sites.

Architects.

Designers who want to preserve design intent while improving real-world buildability.

Citizen developers.

Property owners and first-time developers exploring small-scale housing.
