The short answer is absolutely not. What you’ll find at any hardware store will be pre-rolled dimensional steel studs. They are usually 25 gauge steel rated at 33Ksi (kilopounds per square inch). This type of stud could be used by an average carpenter who has a pair of tin snips and some self-tapping screws, but it is nothing like the structural, machine engineered  Volstrukt system. Your house starts out with a 1-ton coil of flat premium grade steel. Compare our steel with hardware store steel.  We run it through the world’s most advanced cold-rolling machine which bends it, punches holes, dimples and swages the steel in all of the necessary places according to our computerized drawings. The 1mm tolerance of the machine means that what you see in the concept is exactly what you get. Straight, square and right, every time.

We can design any of our models to be built on a traditional slab or pier and beam foundation as well

Not a problem. We have a growing list of tiny house builders who either have built with Volstruktinside their homes, or who are familiar with our framing and how it works from talking with us. It's hard to say, we would need a dimensional drawing to get you a formal quote. We can provide you with a ballpark estimate based on your drawings and our experience, but this is not a guaranteed number. We are as keen as you to make each custom design process as efficient as we can. 

Yes, we are now capable of rolling steel to be included in small homes and accessory dwellings under 1200 sq ft. Our existing small home designs can be customized to your specifications, and/or we can work with your architect to produce a frame to fit into existing plans.

You can REALLY build a tiny house frame out in one day with our unique paneled SPEEDFRAME system with 3-4 friends. As structures become more complex and over 250 sq ft, it may take more days (or just more friends!). Tools needed are an impact driver, a power drill, a level/square, a tall ladder or scaffolding, and hands.

The ONLY tools you will need to put up the frame is:
